Location: Cambridgeshire / Essex Border
Project: 60-Unit High Specification Residential Development
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000, £5k car allowance + package
The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our team on an exciting 60-unit high-specification residential development located on the Cambridgeshire/Essex border.
Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a premium housing scheme to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their career with a respected residential developer or contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development.
Assist in delivering the project safely, on programme, and within budget.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site.
Monitor build quality and ensure works are completed in line with company standards and NHBC requirements.
Conduct regular health and safety inspections and maintain site compliance.
Assist with short-term programming and work sequencing.
Manage snagging and quality control processes.
Support the completion and handover of homes to customers.
Maintain accurate site records and reports.
Promote a positive site culture focused on quality, safety, and teamwork.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar within residential construction.
Experience working on new-build housing developments.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and residential construction methods.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Proactive, professional, and quality-focused approach.
Essential Qualifications
SMSTS or SSSTS
CSCS Card
First Aid at Work
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
NHBC awareness and experience.
Timber frame and traditional build experience.
Experience delivering high-specification residential developments.
