Job Summary:**

My client are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team in Hastings. The successful candidate will assist in managing two refurbishment projects over the course of one year. This role involves supporting the Site Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Project Coordination:** - Assist in the planning and execution of refurbishment projects.

- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.

- Ensure that all work is carried out according to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

**Site Management:** - Supervise daily site activities to ensure smooth operations.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Quality Control:** - Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

- Address any issues or defects promptly and report them to the Site Manager.

- Ensure all work complies with building regulations and company standards.

**Documentation and Reporting:** - Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inventory lists.

- Assist in preparing and submitting project documentation as required.

- Report project progress, issues, and risks to the Site Manager.

**Communication:** - Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders.

- Attend and contribute to site meetings and project briefings.

- Liaise with clients and address any concerns or queries they may have.

**Resource Management:** - Assist in managing site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.

- Ensure that materials and equipment are used efficiently and effectively.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, refurbishment projects, and building regulations.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.

- Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).

- SMSTS or SSSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme or Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) is desirable.

**Working Conditions:**

- Full-time position with potential for overtime.

- 100% site-based with occasional office duties.

- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions
