Assistant Site Manager - Aldgate, London
Salter Grange as recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to join a major student accommodation project in Aldgate as it enters the fit‑out and completion stages. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected main contractor and gain hands on experience delivering high quality rooms and communal spaces in a fast paced environment.
The Role
Supporting the Senior Fit Out Manager, you will help drive the project through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are met. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with day to day coordination of fit‑out works
Carrying out QA inspections and ensuring works meet specification
Managing snagging and tracking close‑out progress
Overseeing the handover of completed rooms and ensuring they are delivered to the required standard
Liaising with subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently
Supporting site documentation, reporting, and compliance
Helping maintain a clean, organised, and well run siteThis role offers excellent exposure to the full fit‑out process and the chance to develop quickly within a supportive site team.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Experience as a, Trainee Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor, ideally within fit‑out or refurbishment
Confidence conducting inspections and managing snagging
A proactive, hands on approach and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple trades
CSCS card (essential); SMSTS/SSSTS desirableWhat next?
