Assistant Site Manager

Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a respected and established housebuilder on a busy timber frame housing development in Congleton.

This is an ongoing opportunity for a strong Assistant Site Manager with a solid new build housing background, working closely with the Site Manager to support the day-to-day running of the development.

You will need to be confident with:

Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development
Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades on site
Monitoring progress against the build programme and ensuring works stay on schedule
Carrying out regular site walks and quality checks
Ensuring health & safety standards, RAMS and site procedures are followed
Managing deliveries, materials and site logistics
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and other site teams
Helping to maintain build quality and ensuring works are completed to the required standards
Assisting with site paperwork, inspections and reporting
Taking responsibility for the site and supporting the wider management team when required

Requirements

Previous Assistant Site Manager experience within housebuilding
Timber frame experience is advantageous
SMSTS - Essential
CSCS - Essential
First Aid - Essential
Strong knowledge of site health & safety and construction procedures
Good communication and organisational skills
Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a busy site environmentStart: Towards the end of September 2026
