My client are an ‘under the radar’ contractor with a ‘family feel’ who specialise within the private client office fit out sector. They were established 20 years ago and they aren’t corporate company, as a business they pride themselves on their collaborative and communicative approach and work closely with all their clients, their respective representatives and supply chain. Typically the business have 35 - 50 small projects running at once and 4-5 larger jobs, projects range between £300,000 and £750,000 in contract value.

5 years ago their turnover was £1.5m, last year they turned over £7.6m and this year they will do £10m. As a business 90% of their client base are government departments, working on their office spaces. They have a particular focus on building long term relationships with everyone they work with which means a large proportion of their work is secured on a negotiated basis.

They put a lot of effort into hiring candidates who not only can do the job, but are down to earth, collaborative and engaging people. They recognise we spend most our time at work and want to create an environment people want to be in.

The successful candidate will form a key part of their site team moving forward, with additional support and training provided to upskill them whilst also providing a platform for career growth and development. This company are a smaller business which means they can offer candidates with close mentoring and training where their staff aren’t just a number and feel part of the business and making a valued contribution.

Location: Central London

Contract Value: £300,000 - £750,000

Scope of works: Office Fit Out for Government space.

Role: Assistant Site Manager

Salary: £35,000 + £40,000 + Pension

Seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager for this project who will become an integral part of the site team.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to at all times,

* Assisting in the review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements from sub-contractors to ensure working methods outlined are safe and appropriate,

* Support in carrying out toolbox talks and site inductions,

* Monitoring the project's performance,

* Supervising on-site construction work,

* Noticing gaps in resources and identifying requirements,
