The Company
Linsco are delighted to be working with a well-established construction contractor delivering a wide range of new build, refurbishment and retrofit projects across the East Midlands, with a strong reputation in the industry and experience across a broad range of sectors.
The business regularly undertakes projects in sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Education, Care and Public Sector with schemes typically valued at up to £5m, covering refurbishment, upgrades, and new build works. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to programme and to the required quality standards.
Initial projects will be based in Nottingham and Derbyshire areas, followed by further works across the region and across South Yorkshire. This role would suit an experienced Assistant Site Manager or an ambitious Site Supervisor looking to take the next step, with experience across refurbishment and new build projects, particularly within occupied or operational buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour alongside the Site Manager
Assist with maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping
Monitor progress of works and assist with ensuring the project remains on programme
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, consultants, and internal teams
Support the delivery of refurbishment works, including window replacements and building upgrades
Assist with site documentation including RAMS, permits, inspections, and progress reporting
Carry out regular site inspections and toolbox talks
Assist with coordinating materials, labour and plant requirements
Support the Site Manager in identifying and resolving issues on site
Help maintain a positive and well-organised site environmentRequirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar construction role
Experience across both new build and refurbishment projects preferred
Experience working on projects within live or occupied environments preferred
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and support programme control
A proactive approach with the ambition to progress within site management
Full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer
