We are seeking a new Assistant Service Manager for a unique area of Services across Ipswich and surrounds. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that wants to make a tangible impact to people’s lives, supporting the good teams to provide good support.

As you will be working across locations you will need to ideally be a driver so you can access our services as travel is very frequent

Please note *Experience of working within LD, Autism, complex health and ABI is essential*

Our team are supporting adults with Variety of support needs across the 4 services including learning disabilities, Autism, ABI, complex health needs and physical disabilities.

You will be supported by a number Assistant Service Manager to lead and develop the staff team of the Support Workers across these services

Service is located in the Kesgrave area of Ipswich accessible by public transport and within walking distance of a small shopping area including Tesco. You will be required to work 28 hours a week, evening and weekend work which will  include 2 days admin and  direct support as well as availability for sleep ins.  All the people we support have their own vehicles and an integral part of their daily routine is to access the community which makes a car driver essential.

The ideal Assistant Service Manager looks like this:

Have a genuine desire to help, develop and maintain high quality service provision for the people we support in this service appropriate to their assessed needs.

Has the skills and commitment to coaching and developing a team, with an emphasis on Practice Leadership with to develop and align practice.

Understands the balance between keeping the person safe and positive risk taking.

Has knowledge of the legal framework that apply in this service (e.g. DoLS, capacity and best interest requirements)

Level 5 diploma or equivalent experience.

Qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) level 3 or BILD course desirable, or must be willing to complete a diploma within 18 months of employment.
