Assistant Route Planner – Bristol
Our client is looking for an Assistant Route Planner to join their busy waste management and recycling operation in Bristol.
This is a varied role where you will support the daily planning of vehicle routes, coordinate drivers and help ensure collections are completed efficiently and on time.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist with daily vehicle and route planning
* Coordinate drivers and scheduled collections
* Take customer bookings via email and telephone
* Answer incoming calls during busy periods
* Update route planning and booking systems
* Deal with changes, cancellations and last-minute requests
* Communicate with drivers, customers and the operations team
* Provide general support to the transport and planning team
About you:
* Organised with good attention to detail
* Confident communicating with customers and drivers
* Good computer skills and able to learn new systems
* Able to work well under pressure in a busy office
* Reliable, proactive and a good team player
* Previous experience in transport, logistics, waste or customer service is an advantage
