Hygrove Partners are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of the fastest-growing, most modern and exciting construction firms in the UK, working on new build and social housing projects across the West Midlands.
The Role:
Supporting or leading the commercial management of new build and social housing projects from pre-contract through to final account. The position is open to experienced Assistant QSs looking to step up as well as established Quantity Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, valuations and applications for payment
* Managing subcontractor orders, accounts, variations and final accounts
* Cost reporting and monitoring project spend against budget
* Liaising with housing association clients and developers on commercial matters
* Supporting procurement, tendering and contract administration
What We're Looking For:
* QS experience within new build residential, social housing or retrofit
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards (preferred)
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Valid CSCS card and own transport
What's on Offer:
* £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
* Clear progression within a fast-expanding business
