Role Overview:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting their quantity surveying team in the management of project costs and finances. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in quantity surveying and contribute to the success of the division.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors, and issuing purchase orders.
* Assist in the measurement and valuation of works, including the preparation of interim payment applications and final accounts.
* Collaborate with project teams to monitor project costs, identify variations, and manage changes to project scope and specifications.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project costs, contracts, and subcontractor agreements.
* Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. or currently studying
* One to two years in a quantity surveying role within the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
