Description:
Our client is a developer based in Southwest London, committed to delivering high end residential and commercial projects.
They're seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of their projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for developers and possess a strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
* Ability to prepare Bill of Quantities
* Conduct thorough cost analysis and procurement exercises
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost management throughout the development lifecycle
* Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate favorable terms
* Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
* Prepare and issue progress reports to stakeholders
* Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and variations
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working for developers is essential
* Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, practices, and procedures
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
