Your new role
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will join an experienced commercial team on a significant project located west of Glasgow. Working closely with senior commercial professionals, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the commercial function while supporting the successful delivery of a major project.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with cost management and financial reporting
Supporting the procurement and management of subcontractor packages
Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Assisting with contract administration and change control procedures
Working collaboratively with operational and project delivery teams
Supporting monthly forecasting and reporting requirementsThis role offers the opportunity to learn from highly experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers within a structured and supportive environment.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualified or working towards qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Previous experience within a contractor environment, either through placement, graduate, or assistant-level experience
Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
Excellent communication and organisational skills
