Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - East London
A leading, family-owned medium-sized main contractor is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Barking, London.
The company prides itself on delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including commercial (light industrial), community, education (state-owned and private-owned schools/facilities), health, heritage, residential (private and public), leisure, and the performing arts. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in supporting the Senior Surveyors throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction to project delivery. This includes attending monthly CVR meetings, providing commercial assistance on live and pre-construction phase projects, conducting post-tender pricing analysis, managing subcontract accounts, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also engage in site visits and measurement tasks.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Possession of HNC or above in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline.
Strong commercial acumen.
Willingness to understand instructions and learn from experienced colleagues.
Excellent numeracy and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.In Return?
