My client is one of the UK’s most successful privately owned businesses with a turnover exceeding £1 billion. They are in a strong position within the industry, being very stable, cash-rich, and extremely busy, with an order book secured for the next two years worth over £600 million.
The business predominantly focuses on projects in the Commercial, Retail, Industrial, High Residential, and Leisure sectors, working on projects ranging from £15 million to £120 million, with an average project value between £10 million and £50 million.
Role
They are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £25 million Industrial project in Avonmouth. There is additional future workload on the same plot for an additional 2 to 3 years, providing excellent long-term project stability and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing costs, contracts, and budgets for the project.
* Support in the preparation and submission of valuations and final accounts.
* Help in procurement and management of subcontractors.
* Assist with cost reporting and financial control.
* Collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
* Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proactive and willing to learn from senior team members.
