West Midlands | Up to £40,000 + Comprehensive Package

Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career with a successful and growing main contractor?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected construction business seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to gain exposure to a diverse range of construction projects while receiving ongoing support, training and clear opportunities for progression.

Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Senior Commercial professionals, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. This position offers an ideal platform for someone looking to enhance their technical knowledge, develop commercially and build a long-term career within a thriving organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects.

* Supporting the preparation of valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.

* Assisting with subcontractor procurement and account management.

* Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance.

* Reviewing subcontractor applications and variations.

* Supporting the preparation of cost forecasts and cash flow reports.

* Maintaining accurate project records and commercial documentation.

* Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.

* Experience within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.

* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

* A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.

* Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
