Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Leading main contracting organisation seeks to employ an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their friendly and supportive team based near Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who are looking to heavily invest in your training and development through their established Commercial Academy. In return you will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor with commercial support on a flagship engineering programme that will have a positive impact on the public and bring communities together.

Responsibilities:

Monitor, review, analyse and report on all contract costs for allocated projects
Assist with the preparation of monthly reconciliations of contract performance on a contract by contract basis.
Assist with the preparation of client applications for payment and associated reporting.
Support the pricing of variation orders/change requests.
Assist with the preparation of interim and final accounts.
Assist with preparation of comparing actual costs against planned programme, report and investigate variances.To be considered for the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor, candidates will have:

Ideally degree qualified in a commercial subject or some experience working in a commercial department
Strong attention to detail and be self-motivated with a pro-active approach to their work
Experience of working on infrastructure projects for main contracting organisations would be an advantage
A competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
UK Drivers License and access to a car
