Our client is a leading construction company with a solid reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects across the North West. With an exciting pipeline that includes significant schemes such as high-rise PRS (Private Rented Sector) buildings, they are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in supporting commercial projects from inception to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual looking to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of project budgets. Provide detailed cost analysis and forecasts.
Measurement and Valuation: Conduct accurate measurements and valuations of works completed, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
Procurement: Support the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating subcontractor bids, and negotiating terms.
Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts, including preparing and issuing notices, certificates, and instructions as required.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to project cost and delivery. Assist in developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project financial status, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any queries or concerns.
Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and updated in accordance with company policies and procedures.Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
