About The Contractor:

Reddbrick are recruiting for Regional Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects across the East Midlands. Currently, they are seeking a talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team and support projects throughout the region .

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be a member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Assisting the project Quantity Surveyor with

* Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans

* Supporting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms

* Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures

* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management

* Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions

* Suporting with the Preparation and submital of monthly reports on project financial performance

* Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

* Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

* A working understanding of forms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and D&B.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

* A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
