Assistant Quality Manager

Location: Staffordshire (office/site-based)
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Contract: 6 Months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting for an Assistant Quality Manager to join a busy highways and infrastructure contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in highways, construction or a similar environment who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys maintaining high standards of quality.

### The Role

Working alongside the Quality Manager, you will help ensure that work carried out on-site meets the required quality standards. You will carry out inspections, record findings, maintain quality records and work closely with operational teams to support continuous improvement.

### Key Responsibilities

Carry out quality inspections on completed and ongoing works.

Visit sites to ensure work has been completed to the required standard.

Record inspection findings accurately and take photographic evidence where required.

Update quality records and spreadsheets.

Produce simple inspection reports.

Highlight quality issues and assist with follow-up actions.

Work with operational teams to improve quality standards.

Attend meetings as required.

Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.
### About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience within highways, construction or a similar industry.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills.
A full UK driving licence.
It would be beneficial if you also have:

Experience carrying out site inspections.
Knowledge of highway maintenance standards.
Previous quality assurance or auditing experience.
