I have an exciting opportunity available for a Assistant Contract/Project Manager (Fabric) who is looking to progress their career into a Contracts/Project Manager Position.
My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK.
As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year.
Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex.
Due to growth of business, they are now seeking an Assistant Contract/Project Manager who comes from a Fabric background to join the team, to work on a mobile basis covering London & The Home Counties.
THE JOB – ASSISTANT CONTRACT/PROJECT MANAGER
The ideal candidate will come from a Fabric background and be looking to progress their career.
Your area of cover will be London & the Home Counties.
You will be working under with a Contracts Manager to relieve some of their workload, learn daily and further progress your skillset.
Monday – Friday / 8am - 5pm
Project Values will vary from £100 - £20,000.
This is a fast paced role, where the jobs would be of low value but high volume.
Responsibilities:
Carry out Quotes & Surveys from Report Requests for Small Works Reactive projects.
Direct and manage project development from start to finish, having responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the project.
Liaise with the main contractor, sub-contractors, suppliers and the client
Plan the utilisation of resources, both available and required
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a clear and timely fashion.
Co-ordinate the efforts of team members and third party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project according to plan.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, track project milestones and deliverables. Troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and develop contingency plans.
Prepare & update cost control sheets on a weekly basis
Prepare & issue weekly/fortnightly Progress Report
