Description:

A well-established construction consultancy in London is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager with a couple of years' industry experience. The successful Assistant Project Manager will join a supportive team delivering commercial, education and residential projects across the capital.

The Assistant Project Manager will support senior colleagues on larger schemes while taking increasing responsibility for smaller projects and defined workstreams. With a strong APC support structure and clear development opportunities, this role would suit an Assistant Project Manager who is working towards chartership.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with the delivery of projects from initial feasibility and design through to construction and completion.

Responsibilities will include coordinating project teams, preparing programmes, monitoring progress, attending client and site meetings, maintaining project documentation and supporting procurement activities. The Assistant Project Manager will also help manage risks, track actions and ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.

The role will provide regular client contact and exposure to a varied portfolio, helping the successful candidate strengthen their technical, commercial and communication skills.

The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

Around two years' project management experience within a construction consultancy
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
Experience working on commercial, education or residential projects
A good understanding of the construction project lifecycle
Strong organisation, communication and report-writing skills
Progress towards MRICS, MAPM or another relevant professional qualification
A proactive attitude and the confidence to manage multiple priorities
