Description:

A well-established construction consultancy in London is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with around two years' experience to join its growing team. The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial, education and heritage projects across the capital, working alongside experienced Project Managers and senior consultants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager who wants to take the next step in their career within a supportive consultancy. The successful Assistant Project Manager will gain exposure to varied projects, develop stronger client-facing experience and receive structured APC support. The Assistant Project Manager will also benefit from close mentoring, with the potential for hybrid working depending on project and team requirements.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support projects from early feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover. Responsibilities will include preparing project documentation, updating programmes, attending meetings and assisting with progress reports.

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, helping to monitor programme, cost, quality and risk. They will also assist with tender documentation, contract administration and stakeholder coordination across commercial, education and heritage schemes.

The role offers the Assistant Project Manager the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as their experience develops, while working towards professional chartership.

The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

Around two years' experience within a UK construction consultancy
Experience supporting commercial, education, heritage or similar construction projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Progress towards the RICS APC, APM Chartership or CIOB membership
A basic understanding of construction contracts and the RIBA Plan of Work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisation and the ability to manage several priorities
A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients
