A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager, to work across an exciting portfolio of commercial, education, and heritage projects.
The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside experienced Project Managers and senior leaders, supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion. This Assistant Project Manager role would suit an ambitious individual looking to take the next step in their career, gain greater responsibility, and work towards chartership. The successful Assistant Project Manager will receive excellent APC support, exposure to a diverse range of projects, and genuine opportunities to progress into a Project Manager position within a supportive consultancy.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Assistant Project Manager's role
The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial, education, and heritage projects across London, assisting throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.
The Assistant Project Manager will help coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders while supporting programme management, procurement, contract administration, project reporting, risk management, and design coordination. They will attend client and site meetings, prepare project documentation, monitor progress, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This role offers an excellent platform for an Assistant Project Manager to broaden their experience across multiple sectors while developing the technical and client-facing skills required to progress within construction project management.
The Assistant Project Manager
The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
Around two years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Graduate Project Manager
Experience working on commercial, education, heritage, or similar construction projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or another construction-related discipline
Working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
A good understanding of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop a long-term career in project management
