ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - Rail
WEMBLEY
SALARY UP TO £55,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Our client is a major supplier delivering a wide range of multi-disciplinary services across the rail infrastructure.
They now require an Assistant Project Manager to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities
* Assist in managing suite of CDM and contract documentation. Non exhaustive examples include: Method Statements, Work Request Forms and all Completion processes.
* Assist in managing completion of Hand Over Documentation and Client Acceptance.
* Assist in managing subcontractor communications for the Project Manager.
* Assist in managing and log all documentations and revision from review through to approval.
* Proactive in Project and Personal Development and provide a professional accountable service
* Achieve a good professional working relationship with internal and external parties such as the Client and Subcontractors.
* Ensure that a high level of Health and Safety is incorporated in all your works and processes.
* Achieve a high standard of professionalism and understand of the construction processes and methodology.
* Understand Commercial processes within the Project. Including the NCE/CE processes.
* Good communications skills for liaising with Project team, Subcontractors and Clients and third parties.
* Manage work schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
* Working closely with the Project Team and providing support where necessary in order to complete all requirements of the works.
* Support the effective performance of the contract under your control/management by implementing the company’s policies relating to safety, quality assurance, technical and financial control so as to ensure entire client satisfaction and job profitability.
* Providing support to the PM and the QS to track change and demonstrate the effects of Compensation Events on the programme.

* Comply with the company’s HSQE policies and all other company policies applicable to the effective discharge of your role.
* Comply with client and national HSQE policies and all other legislative policies applicable to the effective discharge of your role.
* Be familiar with all safety requirements relevant to your post.
* Lead in the effective communication & implementation of safety related initiatives that apply to the works under your control.
* Attend client and company safety meetings/briefings as required, ensuring full attendance from your team (s) where you have responsibility to do so.
* Comply with fatigue management guidelines.
Person Specification
Technical Competency Skills…
You will have the following
Good computer skills and use of basic software including Outlook, Excel and Word (Essential)
Microsoft Project, CAD, CEMAR, Asite (Desirable)
Qualifications and Certifications
Degree/Qualification in management or Engineering (Essential)
Membership to Engineering or Management body (Desirable)

You will…
Have good interpersonal communication (verbal, written and listening) skills, that will support the delivery of your duties and able to clearly explain tasks and inspire others with varying backgrounds.
Have high standards of attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
Show initiative and know when to escalate issues for Supervisor/ Management support.
Be a team player with regards to sharing information, helping to resolve a problem, working towards common goals, properly dividing tasks between team members, etc.
Have the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
