Position:

Assistant Project Manager - We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team for an exciting £45 million project in Essex. The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of the project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of project components.

Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Communication and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, plans, and reports.

Facilitate effective communication between the project team, stakeholders, and clients.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Project Manager and senior management.

Resource Management:

Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for the project.

Coordinate the allocation and deployment of resources to ensure efficient project execution.

Quality Control:

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and quality requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Financial Management:

Assist in tracking project expenditures and ensuring adherence to the budget.

Support the Project Manager in preparing financial reports and forecasts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably on large-scale projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

A valid UK driving licence.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with high-value construction projects in the UK.

Professional certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).

Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and other digital construction tools.
