Are you an Assistant Project Manager based in the North of England, who enjoys working to reach targets and seeing a plan come together? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as an Assistant Project Manager working with the Capital Developments team supporting the operational delivery of the CAPEX developments across the country.
Working 37.5 hours a week, you will enjoy the combination of working from home and visiting sites in the North of England, where you will support the planning, implementation, and delivery of projects in line with Elysium Healthcare’s CAPEX development plan.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will need to have a quality orientated attitude, an eye for detail and be up to any problem-solving challenge as you provide support to the CAPEX Project Manager and Commercial Projects Director in achieving projects against time, quality and cost. You will be working from home, visiting development sites, talking to contractors, consultants and Elysium staff alike.

Please note: You will be expected to regularly travel to the development sites across the North of England. Occasional travel to other parts of England and Wales maybe required; also travel to Head Office in Borehamwood for CAPEX team meetings is required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Being the point of contact for site visits - monitoring progress from conception to completion and identifying risks
Assisting with the specification of build elements, where required
Liaising with build teams, consultants and clients
Working closely with the entire development team - architects, consultants, general managers, and construction team.
Assisting with delivery and progress on CAPEX development projects, appraising site progress when required
Researching products, building codes and procedures to help improve the end-user experience
Assisting with the tender process where appropriate
Inputting into the snagging reports of projects
Supporting the collation of O&M information
Assisting practical completion of developments and oversight during defect period
Contributing to the evaluation of properties and sites for development
Updating weekly reports on project progress and constraints
To be successful as an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll need:
Experience and/or knowledge in property or construction related disciplines; client-side experience would be an advantage
Knowledge of construction related consultancy, general construction issues and technology
Experience within the Care Sector would be an advantage
Some experience of engaging and negotiating with external consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders would be an advantage
Working towards Chartered Membership of RICS or similar professional body desirable
Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Project and Excel and other relevant applications
Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle for business use
To be organised with good time management and awareness of deadlines
Confidence to raise issues and ask questions
Excellent communication and interpretation skills
