Description:
Well-established family-run main contractor is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Peterborough, supporting the delivery of retail, commercial and refurbishment projects.
You'll work directly alongside experienced Project Managers, getting exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle from pre-con through to handover. It's a role built around development — mentoring from senior PMs and a clear path to PM.
The role:
* Assisting PMs with project delivery from pre-con to handover
* Supporting programme, budget, quality and safety management
* Helping monitor programmes and flag risks
* Attending meetings, preparing reports and minutes
* Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
* Supporting cost control and procurement
What we're looking for:
* Construction-related qualification (BSc, HNC/HND or equivalent experience)
* Experience as an APM or similar in construction
* Understanding of construction processes and commercial awareness
* Confident coordinating multiple trades
* SMSTS/SSSTS desirable
* Full UK driving licence required
* Enhanced DBS required
The package:
* £30,000–£38,000
* Company vehicle or fuel allowance
* Profit share scheme

* 21 days holiday, increasing with service
