Dandara Living is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join our build-to-rent HQ in Altrincham.  

About the role   

The successful Assistant Project Manager will be involved in developments at the planning approval process, throughout the construction stage to completion. You will be involved in residential and mixed-use development projects focusing on the Built to Rent market, with current and pipeline projects spread throughout the UK.

We work as part of a small direct team however the majority of our tasks will rely on liaising with various other teams including pre-construction and estimating teams, building contractor’s team, and Clients and their representatives.

Monday to Friday 

37.5 hours per week 

What you will do: 

Pick up and own packages of project work, as directed by the Project Manager.

Selection, liaison and appointment of consultant teams for respective projects.

Assisting in managing contractor teams and monitoring performance and quality assurance to achieve project brief and contract requirements.

Attend, minute and at times, chair meetings with internal and external teams.

Work with other areas of the business, including commercial, procurement and delivery to drive best value, buildability and efficiency from each scheme.

Monitor interim valuations and review any variations on a commercial and project specific basis.

Maintain and constantly improve accurate project monitoring documentation to continually track and highlight project progress, design and commercial risks.

Assist in the preparation of presentations to report project progress to senior management.

Together with internal and external Sustainability Consultants ensure projects satisfy all RIBA Stage 1 ? 3 HQM and/or BREEAM requirements.

Preparation of project documentation to support the handover of projects to the delivery/construction team.

Involvement in Dandara’s social value initiatives.

What you will have: 

A construction, commercial or design-related degree 

Working knowledge of RIBA work stages.

Knowledge of construction principles pertinent to residential apartments

A basic understanding of Quantity Surveying principles

Competent user of Microsoft Office and information management systems such as Asite

Working knowledge of planning and regulatory requirements (Building Regulations, British Standards, Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act).

Self?awareness is key to identify knowledge gaps and feed this back into discussions with line manager regarding their development plan.
