Location: Office based position with hybrid working from home

Our customer is a world leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke electrical heating and cooling solutions are looking to expand their operations team with an experienced Assistance Project Controller.

Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of a dynamic and growing environment where attention to detail and customer focus are paramount.

In addition to supporting a small administrative team, the Assistant Project Controller will play a key role in maintaining a healthy cash position for our projects. They will thrive in a fast-paced setting and must possess strong negotiation and customer management skills. The ability to work autonomously is crucial for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities: - - - - - - - -
Lead meetings with project managers to review stage invoicing requirements for projects.
Assist project management in compiling contract deliverables to facilitate timely invoicing and approval.
Participate in weekly cash reviews to track targets and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Assistance to follow up on outstanding payments and address financial concerns that may arise during the project execution.
Ability to address and resolve client conflicts which impact cash position.
Ability to identify cash-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Foster collaboration between departments to ensure smooth handover from proposals to operations.
Offer assistance and guidance to the operational team; project administration, repeat sales, document control and site services personnel in carrying out their duties

Able to effectively report into relevant stakeholders/line management project progress
Excellent negotiation, contract management and customer resolution skills
Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to cross collaborate between departments and integrate with project managers
Attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and proactive work approach
Proficient in Microsoft office
Desirable Skills: - -
Background in project execution
Proven experience in financial operations role
