Assistant Merchandiser | Billericay, Essex | Full Time Position
Embark on a new role with our client in their Billericay office where you'll play a pivotal role in the Merchandising Department across all ranges.
For over three decades our client has been a cornerstone in the UK, crafting iconic and ever-popular brands such as totes toasties, totes umbrellas, ISOTONER slippers, ISOTONER gloves and Just Sheepskin.
Their footprint extends far and wide, supplying the likes of Boots, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Morrisons, Next, Sainsbury's, Tesco, TK Maxx, Very, and Waitrose, as well as numerous independent retailers.
Are you the right person for the job?
Our client is on the lookout for someone with:
Proven head office merchandising experience
Analytical prowess and a knack for numbers
Demonstrable organisational and communication skills
The ability to thrive independently, even under pressure
IT literacy, with a solid grasp of Microsoft Excel and Word (you'll be put to the test!)
What will your role look like?
Providing essential administrative support and back up to both the field-based and head office based merchandising teams
Working closely with the Merchandiser on stock management within stores, ensuring availability at all times
Assisting in the production of weekly reports and recommending actions based on analysis and observation
Assisting with the stock control process through effective analysis of stock and sales data
Helping to manage the Company’s online accounts, checking styles are published correctly and assisting in SKU set-up and product loading
Confidently and effectively liaising with host head offices to ensure ranges are set up effectively online
Undertaking ongoing analysis to provide the Sales and Product Development teams with the tools necessary for effective range planning, development and implementation
Undertaking inventory management and timely forecast reviews, working closely with internal Planning/Purchasing teams
Addressing and taking ownership of any general administration tasks and ad hoc projects as may be necessary
