Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Operations/Logistics Manager. In this permanent, full-time position, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing a team to ensure the smooth running of our secondary production process.
 
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team on all day-to-day tasks within the secondary production process.
Collaborate effectively with various departments, including internal and external warehouses, sales teams (eCommerce, hospitality, marketing, tours) and production.
Manage purchase orders, informing production and warehouse teams accordingly.
Coordinate finished goods collection and dispatch.
Schedule deliveries with external warehouses.
Facilitate the transfer of stock stored off-site back to the main facility based on production needs.
Update product information and communicate updates to relevant departments.
Track inventory levels across multiple warehouses, analyse sales data, and forecast product demand to optimise stock allocation.
Utilise data to support production scheduling, predict restocking needs and order dry goods, while also assisting with winery grape procurement.
Manage label ordering, quality control, and barcode requirements.
Oversee export orders and complete necessary documentation.
Partner with production and the winery to ensure quality control of products throughout the entire process, maintain records, and address any customer complaints or reports.
Supervise stock takes, address discrepancies and manage low stock levels.
Oversee the acceptance and verification of stock deliveries.
Report to the Production and Operations Manager on the management of supplies and stock needed for secondary production.
Support the winery with logistics during the bottling process.
Assist the warehouse with daily tasks as and when needed.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with HACCP regulations.
Adhere to all SALSA requirements, working collaboratively with the winery and production to ensure successful completion of annual audits.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the process.
Partner with the Production and Operations Manager to propose site improvements and upgrades to existing systems. Qualifications:

Experience in a fast-paced operations or logistics environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management, data analysis, and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable utilising data to generate reports and insights.
