Are you an experienced Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader looking for your next step in retail management?

We're recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join a successful retail business in Salisbury. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing retailer specialising in fashion, lifestyle and outdoor products, offering a competitive salary, annual bonus and excellent benefits.

You'll work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, drive sales performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience. We're looking for a hands-on, commercially minded retail manager who enjoys developing people, achieving targets and maintaining high store standards.

As Assistant Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the store, supporting the Store Manager to deliver commercial success and create a positive, high-performing team.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing the retail team
Driving sales, profitability and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships
Coaching and developing colleagues to maximise their performance
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training
Maintaining high standards of visual merchandising, stock presentation and store operations
Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence
Monitoring stock levels and supporting effective stock management
Leading by example and creating an engaging, positive working environmentAbout You

To be successful in this Assistant Manager role, you'll ideally have:

Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Sales Assistant within retail
Experience leading, coaching or developing a team
A strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive sales and achieve retail KPIs
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
A proactive, hands-on approach to retail management
The confidence to take responsibility and lead a team in a fast-paced store environmentExperience within fashion, outdoor, sports, footwear, lifestyle or premium retail would be advantageous.
