Assistant Management Accountant

Paying £35,000, this leading professional services organisation based in Stockport are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant, who will play a key role in supporting the finance manager with the production of monthly management accounts, KPI Reporting, Cashflow Forecasting alongside a range of other activities. A key member of the Finance team, this role is for someone with an interest in a long-term finance career.

Key accountabilities:

Supporting with monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Analysis of monthly transactional reporting.

The management and analysis of disbursements, including import and reconciliation from the management system to the finance system.

Assisting with reporting and taking the lead on the finance system

Control of posting invoices to the purchase ledger and ensuring payment terms are adhered to.

Raising sales invoices.

Ownership and production of the debt report

Ad-hoc projects and reporting as required by Finance Manager.

The Person

This will suit someone who has some previous experience working within a finance function and someone who is ambitious, driven and looking for a long-term career within finance. The person needs to be highly organised with a methodical approach and someone with excellent communication skills.

You will be fully AAT qualified or a part qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant. You will have effective time management skills and be able to prioritise important tasks. You will be dynamic and motivated and be open to change due to the fast-paced and constantly evolving environment and you will have the desire to learn and develop to take on further responsibilities in the future.
