Description:
Our client a not for profit organisation based near Colwyn Bay require an Assistant Management Accountant on a temporary contract until April 2025. You will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.
To be considered for this position you must have previous experience of working within a similar position and must hold a professional Accounting qualification such as AAT Qualified or CIMA Part Qualified.
Duties:
- Co-ordinate and complete monthly Nominal Ledger journals, including prepayments and accruals using a systematic approach.
- Check the Nominal and capital ledgers on a monthly basis, correcting any mis-postings as required for the company and subsidiary companies.
- Update the property depreciation spreadsheet with additions and disposals on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the production of monthly Management Accounts to support accurate budgetary reporting.
- Assist in carrying out the work required in the implementation of the new finance and housing systems.
- Assist budget holders with budget enquiries and requests, providing financial guidance as necessary to enable decisions to be taken in a timely manner.
- Assist the Assistant Director Finance with year-end account preparation and audit.
- Any other duties assigned by the Management Accountants and Assistant Director Finance.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and financial services industry
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes
- Experience with financial accounting and reporting standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively
