Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000

Key Deliverables:
* Provide essential support to the Finance Department daily.
* Analyse and manage the financial performance of international entities.
* Assist in system implementations and upgrades to stay at the forefront of technology.
Responsibilities:
* Process intercompany purchase invoices accurately.
* Handle bank receipts and payments for overseas territories, ensuring proper allocation.
* Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
* Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register and posting depreciation.
* Post accounting journals, particularly during month-end close.
* Aid in month-end close procedures and preparation of Profit & Loss statements.
* Support year-end auditing and preparation of statutory accounts.
* Contribute to group board reporting activities.
* Assist in additional system project implementations as needed.
* Maintain regular communication with overseas entities regarding aged debt and invoicing issues.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
* Assist in generating local VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
* Address queries from overseas entities related to ERP system usage and subsidiary tax matters.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification such as AAT, PQ, or a degree in accounting.
* Previous experience in a group with intercompany transactions.
* Enthusiastic team player with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Willingness to innovate and embrace new challenges.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (e.g., V-Lookups, Pivot tables).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly organized with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
