Description:

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Management Accountant to join our team. As a Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on analysis of financial data
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (eg Xero)
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Ensuring all costs are correctly coded to the relevant project
- Ordering of materials for relevant site
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or 5 years experience within industry
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively
