Assistant Management Accountant | Nottinghamshire | Up to £35,000 + Study Support + 1 day WFH a week
Are you a part-qualified accountant, working through ACCA/CIMA/ACA and looking for a role that will be able to grow alongside your continued study, offering you progression routes and the ability to get to grips with full monthly management accounts production?
If you are operating as an Assistant Management Accountant but currently unable to make that next step towards becoming a management accountant, Cherry professional are excited to be partnering with a Nottinghamshire based company who can provide you with that golden opportunity.
This company in the manufacturing industry are keen to add a keen to learn Assistant Management Accountant to their finance team set up.
The finance team here are very cooperative and will allow the successful applicant access to a wide range of duties. They will however make sure that you are ready and comfortable before giving you these extra responsibilities so you can develop appropriately.
This role is also open to management accountants who are qualified by experience and happy operating at this level.
Role: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £35,000
Benefits include: Study support and hybrid working.
Duties include:
- Preparation of month-end management reporting packs.
- Posting of journals including prepayments and accruals.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Variance analysis between actuals and budget.
- Preparation of 13-week cash flow forecasts.
- Update and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc analysis pieces.
This role would suit someone who is:
- Either part-qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA and actively studying, or qualified by experience at assistant management accountant or management accountant
- Working to assistant management accountant level currently or higher.
- Comfortable with excel and IT packages.
- A good problem solver who enjoys analysing data.
