Assistant Estimator - High-End Residential
Location: North London
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 + package
4Site Recruitment is representing a construction contractor looking to add an Assistant Estimator to its pre-construction team in North London.
This is a good opportunity for someone looking to develop their estimating experience within an established team, working alongside a Pre-Construction Manager and Senior Estimator on a range of tenders.
You'll be involved in the tendering process from reviewing drawings and specifications through to obtaining subcontractor quotations, putting together cost estimates and helping prepare tender submissions.
The business is keen to bring in someone who wants to learn, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career in estimating, with the opportunity to progress into a Senior Estimator role.
The Role
Assist with preparing tender submissions and cost estimates.
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Carry out measurements and take-offs.
Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Help build up accurate project costs and identify potential risks.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process.
Work closely with the pre-construction team to meet tender deadlines.
About You
Previous experience in estimating or pre-construction within construction.
A good understanding of construction costs and tendering.
Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
Organised, motivated and keen to develop.
Looking for a role where you can learn from experienced estimators and progress over time.
