Assistant Asset Engineer (Rail Assets)
Office Location - Milton Keynes
Hybrid working - Mondays & Thursdays in the office
Rate - £270 per day umbrella / £198.31 PAYE
Inside IR35
An Assistant Engineer is required to join the client's offices in Milton Keynes. You will be required to attend the office on Mondays and Thursdays as a minimum. Your role will involve assisting with the inspection and assessment of engineering assets, and monitoring of maintenance work undertaken, asset condition and asset failure to allow appropriate action to be specified. As part of your role, you will also assist in the evaluation of the output from inspections, examinations, and assessments of asset condition to renewal proposals to be formulated.
The Assistant Engineer will be educated to a HNC / HND or degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate will have some previous exposure to working with structural assets in the railway environment, however this is not essential.
You will be proactive in seeking and obtaining knowledge, skills, and experience of railway engineering. You must also be located within a commutable distance to central Milton Keynes.
