Spinwell is recruiting for an Assistant Director Medical Workforce for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR MEDICAL WORKFORCE
The post holder is a key member of the Workforce and OD Directorate Senior Management Team and will manage and lead the Medical Workforce teams and service across the Trust to deliver a professional and responsible medical workforce service.
The post holder will provide management and expert advice and guidance on all medical workforce related matters including terms and conditions, employee relations, job planning, appraisals, revalidation, rota design, and education, development and transformation.
The role will take the lead on the interpretation and local application of national policy/legislation, developing and implementing appropriate Trust policies, systems and processes as they apply to the medical workforce.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR MEDICAL WORKFORCE
* Post graduate degree level qualification or equivalent E
* MCIP Qualified or equivalent
* Significant experience of managing and creating employee relations interventions that evidence a demonstrable impact
* Significant experience of developing and reviewing medical workforce policies in line with NHS and other guidance and legislation
* Experience of providing HR business partnering support and managing highly complex employee relations cases
* Experienced in developing and implementing medical workforce strategies that support the delivery of workforce plans and objectives
* Experience and understanding of developing and maintaining excellent and productive employee relations, engagement and partnership working.
* Proven experience of managing workforce projects, systems and processed to deliver high quality workforce services
* Experience and understanding of all aspects of postgraduate Medical Education and the provision of an optimum learning environment for all doctors in training and medical students
* Expert knowledge of NHS professional terms and condition of employment particularly in relation to the medical workforce
* In depth knowledge and understanding of NHS professional terms and conditions of employment, processes and policies
* Excellent knowledge of NHS software and systems related to supporting the medical workforce ie ESR, Health roster, revalidation, rota and job planning
* Sound knowledge of Employment law and HR policies and processes
* Knowledge of strategic Workforce & OD initiatives and requirements to maintain compliance and performance
