GI Group are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Director, Medical Workforce to our Public Sector client based in Peterborough. The Assistant Director, Medical Workforce will manage and lead the Medical Workforce Teams and ensure a professional and responsible medical workforce service is delivered across the organisation.
Main Duties of the Assistant Director, Medical Workforce:
Provide flexible and proactive support to the Deputy Director of Workforce and OD Medical Director with the management of the medical workforce
Provide professional support in relation to medical employee relations, including supporting the management of highly complex cases up to and including Employment Tribunals
Develop and lead a strategy on the management of rotas and identify and implement ways the organization can improve its attraction and retention of trainees
Work with Workforce and OD colleagues to provide a senior level of expertise and guidance on all medical and dental policies and awareness of all employment law changes
Lead the development and maintenance of a framework of offering that provides continued education and training of medical senior leaders and managers
Role Requirements:
MCIP qualified
Significant experience of managing and creating employee relations interventions that have had a demonstratable impact
Significant experience of developing and reviewing medical workforce policies in line with legislation
Experience of providing HR business partnering support and managing highly complex employee relations cases
Experience in developing and implementing medical workforce strategies that support the delivery of workforce pans and objectives
Proven experience of managing workforce projects, systems and processes to deliver high quality workforce services
Highly developed leadership , communication and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams
