The role
Supporting the design of drainage systems, highway layouts and S278/S38 schemes.
Producing technical designs in line with relevant industry standards, including Sewers for Adoption, the SuDS Manual, Manual for Streets and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
Preparing accurate, high-quality engineering drawings and technical packages.
Liaising with clients, developers, architects and local authorities on designated aspects of projects.
Working closely with senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering software to develop effective design solutions.
Supporting project coordination and delivery while continuing to develop your technical knowledge.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Contributing to wider business development, marketing and networking activities where appropriate.
What you need to succeed
An HND, BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering.
At least two years' experience in a similar role within a civil engineering consultancy.
Experience working on drainage, highways and infrastructure projects.
A good understanding of relevant design standards, guidance and industry best practice.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or equivalent 3D design software.
Experience working with developers, architects and local authorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality work.
A desire to work towards, or be actively progressing towards, ICE professional accreditation.
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
