An established and growing independent merchant business operating across the South East is looking to appoint an experienced Branch Manager to lead one of its customer-focused branches. The business has built a strong reputation for service, product knowledge, and long-term customer relationships within the trade sector.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced branch leader or senior supervisor to take ownership of a busy branch operation, lead a committed team, and influence commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day branch operations
Lead, coach, and develop branch colleagues
Drive sales growth and branch profitability
Deliver excellent service to trade and retail customers
Maintain operational standards and compliance requirements
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Candidate Profile
Previous leadership experience within merchanting, distribution, wholesale, or a related trade environment
Commercially aware with a proactive approach
Strong people management and team development skills
Customer-focused with a hands-on management style
Comfortable managing branch performance and operational targets
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Alternate Saturday mornings
