SF Recruitment are delighed to be working with a leading international business based in Tamworth in their search for an Assistant Accountant. This business are renowned for their innovation and sustainable approach to manufacturing and have been hugely successful in recent years. This is a brand new role to support the Financial Controller with monthly management accounts, producing management reports, assisting with year end and audit as well as providing useful analysis.
This role would suit a driven and motivated individual with some experience in finance looking to take on a role with a clear development plan as well as support towards your accounting qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to produce monthly management accounts
- Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments
- VAT returns
- Assist with maintaining fixed assets
- Preparation of management information and KPI reports
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Financial analysis including commentary
- Supporting with the annual audit.
- Other ad hoc finance projects and reporting.
Requirements:
- AAT Qualified or ACCA/CIMA Studier
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Experience within manufacturing desirable
- Good Excel skills
- Strong communication skills,
- Team player with excellent attention to detail
