Assistant Accountant

Our client an established and successful sector business based in Manchester City Centre are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the growing team there.
As one of the premier consultancies in their sector they now need this additional Assistant Accountant appointment to support the finance function going forwards.
This role will be a varied one with overview of finance and so each day will be varied in its content and required tasks.
Key responsibilities include -
-Transactional processing support across the ledgers
-Bank recs, Cashbook entry and dealing with petty cash
-Assisting the finance team with all period end reporting
-Payment & receipt allocations
As an Assistant Accountant you will be able to demonstrate a varied background in accounts coupled with the ability to manage a heavy workload.
You will ideally be AAT qualified or working towards a qualification, with excellent attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.
