Description:
Our client operates in the manufacturing sector and are at the forefront of their field. They are now looking for a commercially focused Assistant Accountant to join the team to support the Finance Manager. This is a very varied role and would suit someone with strong analytical skills.
THE ROLE:
Assist with the preparation of month end and year end accounts.
Assist with Monthly Stock Controls.
Assist with Monthly Stock Costings.
Prepayments/Accruals.
Fixed Assets.
HR/Payroll.
Posted Journals /Cashbook/Petty Cash Recs etc.
Help with adhoc reporting to Group.
Filing of National Statistics.
VAT Returns including Reconciliation.
Assisting other team members i.e Sales/Purchase/Buyer if workload exceeds and/if holiday cover.
THE CANDIDATE:
Excellent Excel skills - pivot tables, Sumifs, Vlookups.
Strong communications/team working skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong analytical skills - go beyond the numbers.
