With a modern and inclusive working environment, our client is an independent firm looking to recruit an experienced Accounts & Audit Assistant Accountant to look after a varied portfolio of clients.
You will be joining a well respected accounting firm, based in the Guildford area. This is a super firm to work for, with a friendly and supportive team. Previous experience working for an accounting practice is essential.
You will work with a number of clients who entirely outsource their finance function and other owner-managed businesses.
The role will include:
* Accounts preparation
* Bookkeeping
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Small amount of Audit work (approx 30%) for which training will be provided
The firm use a range of accounting software including Xero, Sage and Iris and wish to recruit a candidate who is conversant with up to date packages.
With a competitive salary (band of £28,000 - £30,000 set by Fletcher George as a guide) and benefits to include pension, 25 days holiday, hybrid working, car parking. Study support is available if appropriate.
