Assistant Accountant role working for a growing PE backed business based in Bedford! £30K - £33K
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of purchase ledger
Maintenance of sales ledger and invoice codings
Responsible for the finance inbox, distributing mails as necessary, submitting invoiceand filing emails in appropriate folders
Responding to email queries and verifying supplier statements
Updating the bank account and working with the finance manager to keep it reconciled
Supporting the finance manager in updating the daily cash forecast
Preparing the bi-weekly payment run, and distribute remittance advices
Provide support to the finance manager for payroll
Supporting the finance manager with month end close dutiesIdeal candidate:
Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
Experience of Xero system
Understanding of VAT essential
