CMA is partnering with a global brand that is the market leader in their specialism to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the team on an interim basis for a period of 9-12 months to cover maternity leave. This role will be based out of their Portsmouth, Hampshire office with the ability to work remotely 2 days a week following initial training period. An excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to grow and develop their career.
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?
Assist with the production of management accounts including accruals and prepayments;
Undertake large volumes of balance sheet reconciliations as required;
Ad hoc analysis as required including elements of variance analysis and cost analysis;
Manipulations and analysis of large data sets using Excel;
Other ad hoc tasks within finance.
Suitable Candidate for Assistant Accountant role:
Degree qualified or early stage AAT/CIMA/ACCA studier with some practical experience;
Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and knowledge of an ERP system.
SAP exposure would be advantageous.
