Description:

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with our client, a well established manufacturing business based in Sheffield, as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join an organisation which offers an autonomous role with scope for study support and managing a small team.

The role will work closely with the Group Finance Director and oversee two long standing members of staff.

What will you be doing?

Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for 2 Companies
Analyse P&L variances and oversee reconciliation of Balance sheet control accounts
Administer and Reconcile Invoice Finance
VAT preparation and reconciliation
Weekly Cashflow forecast and approve monthly Payment runs
Reconcile Inter- company accounts
Prepare Annual Budget Workings
Prepare for Group audit and liaise with Group Auditors
Support Group Finance Director to meet increasing business demands
Manage 2 members of staff
Overhaul of current systems and procedures
Train up on all aspects of Month end processes with a view to improvements What experience do we need?

Part Qualified CIMA Accountant with experience in financial management
Ability to lead 2 members of staff with transactional responsibility and be proactive with improvement solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with Auditors and work at Group level with our companies
Proficiency in using accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
Experience in Industry preferredWhat's on offer?
